About ThePriceMonkey UK

ThePriceMonkey UK is the English-language sister site of es.thepricemonkey.com, which has been tracking Amazon Spain prices since 2014. The UK site is a small editorial project focused on curated buyer's guides for Amazon UK.

What this site does not do: scrape Amazon, reproduce fake "best of" lists generated from product descriptions, or recommend things based on shallow research.

Editorial methodology

Every buyer's guide on this site is built the same way:

  1. Identify what matters in the category. What buyers actually care about — capacity, noise, build quality, ongoing cost — not what marketing copy emphasises.
  2. Survey current Amazon UK listings. Read across the top-rated and best-selling products in the category, compare specifications, and identify the consensus picks.
  3. Cross-reference independent reviews. Trusted UK consumer outlets, long-form Reddit threads, and verified Amazon reviews from people who own the product.
  4. Write with hedging where appropriate. Where the data isn't first-hand, the language reflects that. No fabricated measurements, no invented test sessions.
  5. Update when things change. Discontinued products, price moves, and new contenders. The site is small and editorial by design.

Affiliate links

Every link on this site that points to Amazon UK is an affiliate link. If a reader clicks and buys something within 24 hours, Amazon pays a small commission (typically 1–4% of the price). The price the reader pays is the same as searching Amazon directly. Links can be verified in the URL bar — they all carry ?tag=tpmonkey-21.

This site does not run sponsored content, does not accept payment from brands to write reviews, and does not accept "free product" review units.
